Trump described his proposal to cease fire in 20 points as an “excellent business” for Israel and “the whole Arab world.” He stated that the agreement does not require any additional flexibility and that the hostages released by Hamas according to the agreement will have to return “almost immediately”.

Indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas will start on Monday at Sharm El-Sheikh, in Egypt, according to an Egyptian official and three Israeli sources, quoted by CNN. Negotiators, including an American delegation, are now heading for Cairo.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office confirmed the information and announced that an Israeli delegation led by the Ron Dermer Strategic Affairs will fly to Egypt to participate in negotiations.

Threats to Hamas

In an interview broadcast by CNN on Sunday, the US president said Hamas will be “completely destroyed” if the Palestinian militant group refuses to give up power and control over the gas.

The day before, Trump warned that the Islamist movement that he would not “tolerate any delay” in applying his plan, which provides for a cessation of fire, the release of the hostages in 72 hours, the withdrawal of the Israeli army from Gaza and the disarmament of the Islamist movement.

Hamas on Sunday declared his will to reach an agreement for the cessation of the war in Gaza and to proceed with an “immediate” exchange of hostages and prisoners with Israel, before indirect negotiations in Egypt.

Also, the movement emphasized “the need for Israel to suspend any military operation throughout the Gaza strip, to cease any air, recognition and drone surgeons, and withdraw from inside the city of Gaza”, during the negotiations.
