Drones over the German airport. “Delayed starts”

“Due to noticing the drones, the starts on October 4, 2025 are delayed. They will be gradually resumed from 7 o'clock,” said the airport.
Passengers were asked to check the current information in their airlines before leaving for the airport. “There will be delays all day” – it was reserved in the announcement.
The German police confirmed on Friday to Saturday night that two drones were observed over the airport in Munich. Earlier, the DPA agency reported that both start stripes were closed due to the drone threat.
Also on Thursday evening, 17 flights were canceled in Munich after reports of the appearance of unidentified drones near the airport in this city. Nearly 3,000 passengers were forced to interrupt the journey. Many spent the night at the airport.
In connection with these events, the Interior Minister Bavaria Joachim Herrmann said that they wanted the police to shoot down unmanned aerial vehicles in case of doubt. “We want to significantly expand the legal capabilities of the Bavarian police so that it can take immediate and effective actions against drones. It also means that the police will be able to immediately shoot down drones in the event of a serious threat,” he said, quoted by the German press.
