The increase in sugar consumption was 8.6 percent, eggs 7.5 percent, fruit by 5.9 percent, animal fats by 5.3 percent, pasta and pasta products by 5.1 percent. and cheese and cottage cheese by 5.0 percent

The largest drop in consumption was recorded in the case of margarine and vegetable fats (by 4.5 percent), fresh milk (2.5 %) and bread (by 1.5 percent).

The CSO said that a positive phenomenon in both the city and in the countryside is the increase in the average monthly fruit consumption (0.2 kg each).
