A great sportsman said goodbye to celebrity. He retired to the country and no longer appears in the public space: “I live without a television”

Igor Milanović, a former great poloist and one of the legends of this sport, chose to leave behind the hectic life and move to the country. He now lives in the village of Popović, 40 kilometers from Belgrade, where he leads a quiet life, without television and far from negative news.

After leaving Olympiakos, in 2023, Milanović completely withdrew from the spotlight, according to Sportal.Blic.rs. He says that in the country he feels closer to God and that life in nature brings him peace and balance. He recently appeared at the “World Cup of Friendship” in Ulcinj, one of the few occasions when he was seen in public.

Milanović revealed that he had no television even during the time he was evolving in Mladost, a group from Zagreb, at the end of the 1980s. After decades, the former athlete remained with the same beneficial beliefs.

“A.As I didn't have one in Zagreb, I don't even have a TV. I live without him for a long time. I like to watch a movie or the transmission of a sporting event, but I can do this on the laptop. I don't look at the news, it makes my life healthier. I am closer to God when they are without that information! ”Milanović said.

Igor Milanović is recognized as one of the great players of Polo on worldwater. He debuted at the partisan and, during his career, passed to Mladost, Red Star, Rome, Budva Riviera and Catalunya.

After the withdrawal, he chose the technical bank. Between 2009 and 2014 he prepared partisan, then trained top clubs: Red Star, Novi Belgrade, Pro Recco, Galatasaray and Olympiakos.

Its record with the national Yugoslavia is impressive: two Olympic titles, two worldwide, but also several European medals, including one gold.
