This year in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the number of ticks affected by the attack did not exceed the average age level – 14,376, of which 3,059 are children. This was reported in Rospotrebnadzor, summing up the results of the ending season of tick activity.
According to the agency, 243 inhabitants of the region, Borreliosis – 193, Siberian tick -borne typhoid – 21, with Erlichiosis – 2, fell ill with viral encephalitis.
Almost 140 thousand people were vaccinated against tick -borne viral encephalitis. Acaricidal treatments were carried out on an area of more than 5 thousand hectares.
“Be careful, because the ticks are still active “37 residents of the region replenished the above statistics of the victims last week,” Rospotrebnadzor said.
