The assessment of the NBP's activities went up. Is the highest in 5 years

In the last six months in the CBOS study, the assessments of the National Bank of Poland have clearly improved – in September they are the highest in five years and the third highest since 2018. NBP's well -assessed activities are assessed by 54 percent. respondents, at 9 pp. more than in March, and wrong 19 percent, less at 12 pp.

“In the last six months, the assessments of the National Bank of Poland have improved significantly. They are currently the best for five years. NBP's activities are well assessed by 54 percent of respondents, 9 points more than in March, badly – 19 percent of respondents, as much as 12 points less than six months ago. Improvement of the central bank's ratings can be associated with a decrease in inflation (…) and that followed by NBP rate percentage ” – stated in the study of CBOS.

The percentage of positively evaluating the NBP's activities is the highest in September since March 2020, when the Covid-19 pandemia broke out in Poland. The MPCs then reduced interest rates for the first time in that cycle, and the NBP launched the first time in the history of the government's and guaranteed purchase program by the State Treasury on the secondary market.

The September assessment of the NBP activity is also the third highest result in the history of the study since 2018. In turn, the percentage of negative assessments of the NBP in September is the lowest than March 2021.

In all of the Socio-Demographic groups included in the analyzes, the NBP's activity is more common with approval than disapproval.

“The youngest (18-24 years old), pupils and students, have a good opinion on the NBP's activities. We register more than average critical voices towards the activities of this institution among the residents of the largest cities, relatively best educated and situated people, managerial staff, specialists, secondary personnel, technicians and among the owners of companies” – it was written.

Political affiliation influences the opinion of the activities of the National Bank of Poland.

“The actions of the central bank are more likely to be approved by people who declare right -wing political views. In electo -NBP electorates, potential voters of the confederation of wines best assess, although also among the voters of other groups included in the analyzes, positive opinions prevail” – added.
