The German Air Directorate Service (DFS) limited flights to the Munich airport from 22.18, and later completely stopped them because of several recorded drones-as a result, there were no 17 flights from Munich that evening, which touched almost 3 thousand passengers.
“The Munich airport in cooperation with the airlines immediately took care of passengers in the terminals: the clashes were installed, blankets, drinks and snacks were provided. In addition, 15 arrivals were redirected to Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Venu and Frankfurt,” the press service said.
If drone is detected, passenger safety has the highest priority, added DFS.
“The information chains between the air service, the airport and law enforcement agencies have been working for many years. It is important to emphasize that the detection and counteraction of drones are sovereign tasks and are within the competence of the federal and land police,” the airport added.
According to the Flightradar24 service, the airport resumed work at about 5.00 local time.
