The Minister of Energy, Bogdan-Gruia Ivan, announced, on Wednesday evening, that he is considering a draft law by which the disconnection to those vulnerable customers who do not allow to pay the invoices, but also a mechanism by which, for consumers up to 2,500-3,000 lei, the price to electricity to be a maximum of 1 lei per kilowatt.
“At the moment there are four companies that provide electricity below 1.30 lei, as long as the maximum ceiling was before eliminating July 1. Pay the invoices, and, two, a mechanism by which, for people who have an income up to 2,500-3,000 lei, we have a maximum price of a lion per kilowatt.
He stressed that, so far, in all the discussions he had, he made all his colleagues in the coalition, and the prime minister and the president of the country, to understand that “it is a serious problem of Romania”, because, if it does not intervene to lower the price for electricity, we will be in the situation in which the Romanians will be ” Romanian companies to pay expensive energy, no longer competitive when they go to export products abroad.
“It is a problem of national security and national security, in the context in which in everything we buy has a weight between 10% and 70% the cost of energy. So it is not a problem of a ministry,” Ivan said.
In his opinion, in about half a year, nine months should be set, to lower the price to the final consumer.
