In Krasnoyarsk, a memorial sign was opened to the hero of labor

In the Zheleznodorozhny district of Krasnoyarsk, a memorial sign was opened to the Hero of Socialist Labor Stepan Alexandrovich Ermolaevreported in the city hall.

The plate was installed on house number 1 on Red Square. In it, Stepan Ermolaev lived for 37 years, dedicating 58 years to work at the Krasnoyarsk plant of combines.

The city hall noted that Stepan Alexandrovich made the most complex spare parts for the equipment of the Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric power station, the car factory in Moscow and the bridge over the Yenisei. He had a stigma that denoted special trust and confirmed the right to conduct quality control of products. Stepan Ermolaev received the USSR State Prize, the title of Hero of Socialist Labor, the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal “Sickle and the Hammer”. Krasnoyarsk died in 2006.

“He was a unique person, a real worker. He could not get out of the factory for days, admired the beauty of metal. We somehow stamped the details for one design all night-we made 50 axes. I was then a young engineer. Stepan Alexandrovich has become for me an example of hard work and professionalism, ”said Ivan Kislyak, chairman of the primary organization of veterans of the Krasnoyarsk plant of the combines.

Relatives of Stepan Ermolaev, veterans of the combine plant, representatives of the district administration, students and active residents of the district came to the opening of the memorial.

“Stepan Alexandrovich had three children, six grandchildren and six great -grandchildren. We are very proud of him. Recently, his senior grandson Vladimir received the medal “For Courage”. He took part in the liberation of Donbass. Heroism is our family, ”said his daughter Olga Makarova.
