In Krasnoyarsk, an investigation into a criminal case of the murder of a 23-year-old man, which occurred 10 years ago, was completed, the Investigative Department of the IC of the Russian Federation for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and Khakassia reported.
Investigators said that on August 15, 2015, a young man with a knife wound died on Metallurgov Street on August 15, 2015. Eyewitnesses said that the young man was a participant in the conflict. His opponents disappeared.
On this fact, a criminal case was opened under Part 4 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing grievous bodily harm, resulting in death by negligence). It was not possible to find the killer, investigators returned to the study of the case file in 2025. They analyzed the data and interviewed witnesses. Thanks to this, it turned out that a man who is now detained in the city of Bratsk Irkutsk region for committing a similar crime may be involved in the crime.
“The investigation found that on the night of August 14 to 15, 2015, the company of young people, including the victim, consumed alcoholic drinks on Metallurgov Avenue of the city of Krasnoyarsk. Men came into conflict with strangers from another company, during which one of the men stabbed the victim with a knife. After that, the defendant got rid of the crime tool and hid in a car in the company of his friends, ”the investigative department said.
The man fully pleaded guilty of his deed, during the investigative experiment he told in detail and demonstrated the circumstances of the incident. He was transferred to the prosecutor to approve the accusation and send him to the court for further proceedings.
