Transalpina and Transfăgărășanul, the most popular mountain roads in Romania, have been covered by snow in the last hours, according to the images posted on the meteoplus Facebook account. Transalpine is closed.
„DN 67C – Transalpina, the sector between Rânca and Obârșia Lotrului, remains closed to traffic until tomorrow, due to 9:00, due to adverse weather conditions. The visc and precipitation determined the formation of an ice layer on the road, and for this reason the snow machines were not to be taken. We will return tomorrow morning, at 09:00, with details on the reopening of the traffic ”, according to a statement of the Regional Directorate of Roads and Bridges Craiova (DRDP).
According to Meteoplus, they were -4 degrees on Transalpina Tuesday morning.
It is also snow on Transfăgărășan, where the traffic is still open, but it takes place in winter conditions. According to Meteoplus, at Bâlea Lac were registered on Tuesday morning -3 degrees Celsius.
