The internal referendum in the PSD is postponed again. The social-democrats will vote whether or not they enter the governance after things will clarify in the parties trying to build a ruling coalition, sources that participate in the Emergency meeting on Thursday night have said.

At the end of the meeting, the PSD officially announced that it will not organize the internal referendum on Friday as the prime minister was not appointed and the Fiscal Measures Plan has not been completed.

“This designation should have taken place today, at 5:00 pm, or at the latest tomorrow morning, according to the previously approved agreements. Under these conditions, the PSD is in a position to postpone the internal debate until things are clarified,” the PSD said in a press release.

Initially, the Social Democrats established, during a meeting that took place on Tuesday that the PSD will convene an internal referendum after the Cotroceni Thursday consultations, and only then will the PSD members determine if they enter the government,

“There is already a calendar announced with consultations that start on Thursday morning, the PSD will participate in the idea of being constructive. After, the PSD will convene the internal referendum that we talked about from the beginning of the discussions. PSD members will be informed, with all the results of the negotiations available to decide whether or not we enter the government,” announced PSD.

The Social Democrats met on Thursday night in a national political council. The new meeting was convened for the party leaders to decide how to position the negotiations of Nicușor Dan – Ilie Bolojan, who do not agree on VAT growth.

Nicușor Dan had new consultations on Thursday with the parliamentary parties on the future government. PSD said, after the discussion, that at the end of the day there will be a package assumed by fiscal measures, while USR claimed that it is ready to “fight” with “Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan”.

After the consultations, Nicușor Dan and Ilie Bolojan met this evening, in Cotroceni, without reaching a consensus on the increase of taxes, sources from the Presidential Administration told HotNews. The two have different visions of VAT growth. The prime minister's appointment was postponed for the next few days.
