US President Donald Trump announced during a meeting with the Prime Minister of Israel Binjamin Netanyahu on Monday a 20-point peace plan for the Gaza Strip, and the Israeli leader confirmed that he was correct.

The plan provides an immediate, durable truce in exchange for releasing all Israeli hostages by Hamas. Hamas, like other Palestinian militias, would renounce power over the Gaza Strip and lay down their weapons. Hamas members who would agree to these conditions could stay in the Gaza Strip, while others – leave it safely.

Leaders say the firm “yes” to Trump's plan

Many leaders of European countries and the Middle East congratulated the US President Donald Trump announced on Monday. Among them are, among others Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and chairman of the European Council Antonio Costa. In turn, France President Emmanuel Macron pointed out that he expected full commitment from Israel in the plan presented by Trump.

The heads of diplomacy of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Qatar, Pakistan, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates emphasized in a joint statement the readiness to implement the agreement presented by Trump.

Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the situation in the Gaza Strip

The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Tuesday that “with hope it accepts the peace plan presented by the United States for the Gaza Strip, developed in consultation with Arab and Muslim countries and the Israeli government.”

“We consider him a realistic and bold attempt to end the conflict and create conditions for a lasting room in the Middle East,” the ministry emphasized.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out that the plan assumes immediate suspension of armed operations, releasing hostages.

Trump threatens Hamas

US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that Hamas has three or four days to respond to his peace proposal regarding the Gaza Strip. At the same time, he threatened that in the event of refusal, he would allow Israel to “do what he must”.

– Three or four days, we'll see how it will be. All Arab countries have signed. All Muslim countries have signed. The whole of Israel has signed up. We are just waiting for Hamas, and Hamas will either do it or not, and if not, it will be a very sad end for them – said Trump during a conversation with journalists before departure to the marine base at Quantico near Washington.

During the meeting with the most important military US, he said so: – Nine months, we ended several wars. In the Middle East they have been fighting from 3,000 years. I hope Hamas will agree to the room. Israel agreed, Muslim countries agreed. I am waiting for Hamas – said the US president.

According to aid organizations, the humanitarian crisis, including hunger, is constantly deteriorating, and the amount of help passed by Israel is still insufficient. In spring, Israel completely blocked deliveries to the Gaza Strip, and later partially restored them. International institutions emphasize that hunger in the Gaza Strip was caused artificially.

Israel has repeatedly accused of violating international law during the war, including committing war crimes and against humanity and genocide. The accusations were made, among others in reports of organizations defending human rights as well as UN institutions.
