Railway transport on Constanta – Mangalia section, suspended from October 1. CFR Călaturi ensures bus transportation

CFR Călaturi has announced that rail transport on Constanta – Mangalia section will be suspended from October 1, 2025, for works. However, the company has announced that it will ensure bus transport.

The traffic of passenger trains on the Constanta – Mangalia route is suspended between October 1, 2025 – February 2, 2026, for works performed by the infrastructure administrator – CNCF CFR SA.

“CFR Călătorii provides, starting with October 1, 2025, the service replacement service with buses to ensure the passenger's journey on the Constanta – Mangalia route and return, based on the tickets purchased under the same conditions as during the travel period”, The statement said.

The bus traffic program (indicative RA) between Constanta and Mangalia, between October 1, 2025 – December 13, 2025, is:

• RA 8381: Constanta (departure 06:25) – Mangalia (arrival 07:44), instead of the train R 8381;
• RA 8385: Constanta (departure 09:45) – Mangalia (arrival 11:04), instead of the train R 8385;
• RA 8389: Constanta (departure 14:22) – Mangalia (arrival 15:41), instead of the train R 8389;
• RA 8393: Constanta (departure 17:05) – Mangalia (arrival 18:24), instead of the train R 8393;
• RA 8395: Constanta (departure 18:13) – Mangalia (arrival 19:32), instead of the train R 8395;
• RA 8397: Constanta (departure 20:13) – Mangalia (arrival 21:32), only on Saturday, instead of the train R 8397;
• RA 8399: Constanta (departure 21:13) – Mangalia (arrival 22:40), does not run on Saturday, instead of the train R 8399.

Also, between Mangalia and Constanţa, the program is:

• RA 8380: Mangalia (departure 05:40) – Constanta (arrival 06:59), instead of the train R 8380;
• RA 8384: Mangalia (departure 07:56) – Constanta (arrival 09:15), instead of the train R 8384;
• RA 8386: Mangalia (departure 12:03) – Constanta (arrival 13:22), instead of the train R 8386;
• RA 8392: Mangalia (departure 15:53) – Constanta (arrival 17:12), instead of the train R 8392;
• RA 8396: Mangalia (departure 18:27) – Constanta (arrival 19:46), instead of the train R 8396;
• RA 8398: Mangalia (departure 19:45) – Constanta (arrival 21:04), instead of the train R 8398.

CFR Călaturi states that the departure/arrival hours in the stations in them, as well as the applied tariffs can be viewed on www.cfrcalatori.ro, in the section “Details/price ” From the train walking module, when looking for trains on the desired route.

The company recommends travelers to request information about the hours of arrival and departure of trains in/from CFR stations, at the ticket offices of the transport operator and to consult the operator's sites for updated information about the changes that occurred in the circulation of certain trains.

At the beginning of the month, CFR announced that the traffic of the IR 1539 Oradea -Arad -Timișoara Nord and R 3117 Timișoara Nord – Arad – Oradea will be modified between October 6 and 25, 2025, for carrying out works on the railway infrastructure on the distance of Sânandrei – Băile Căacea (on the Timișoara North section).

According to CFR, between October 6 and 25, 2025, without Sunday, the IR train 1539 Oradea – Arad – Timișoara Nord circulates according to the graph on the trains on the distance of Oradea – Arad, and on the Arad – Timișoara Nord distance, the passengers by car travelers ensure.
