In the Zheleznogorsk school, the profile engineering class of Rosatom / News of the Society of Krasnoyarsk and Krasnoyarsk Territory / Newslab.ru was opened

In school No. 97 of the city of Zheleznogorsk (Krasnoyarsk Territory), the grand opening of the specialized engineering class “Laboratory of Chemical Analysis” took place. The project was implemented with the assistance of the State Corporation “Rosatom” and its enterprise-the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Mining and Chemical Plant”.

The purpose of the new educational site is early career guidance and training of future specialists for the nuclear industry. Schoolchildren gained access to the study of chemistry on modern equipment. Educational programs are designed not only for students in grades of the 8-10s of school No. 97, but also for all high school students of Zheleznogorsk as part of additional education.

“Chemistry is a demanded direction that is relevant today,” said Dmitry Kolupaev, General Director of FSUE GKC. – Such projects help schoolchildren to master promising specialties, and enterprises – to train personnel from the early stages of training. The role of chemistry in the atomic industry is difficult to overestimate: from creating new materials to processing nuclear fuel and the development of atomic energy of the IV generation. We are interested in ensuring that motivated and well -trained young specialists come to our team, and this class is an important step towards this purpose. ”

The discovery of the new class went brightly and creatively: the students prepared a theatrical performance with the participation of “academicians” and the fairy -tale character of old Hottabych. Together with the guests, schoolchildren solved chemical riddles, and the climax of the action was the manifestation of parting words on the ancient scroll from Dmitry Mendeleev himself.

Both school teachers and representatives of the Siberian State University of Science and Technologies named after M.F. Reshetnev, as well as practicing specialists of the mining and chemical plant.

“In high school, it is necessary to devote more time to chemistry – both theory and practice,” says Julia Serpunin, teacher of chemistry and seizure. -The laboratory gives us the opportunity to carry out experiments, conduct research and truly pursue students with science. On the basis of the laboratory, we plan to organize the days of science, involve children in project activities and, most importantly, give them those practical skills, without which the profession of a laboratory assistant of chemical analysis is unthinkable. ”
