Iran made a man on Monday named Bahman Chubi-Asl, who said he was “one of Israel's most important spies”, announced the news system, Mizan, quoted by Reuters.
For decades in a shadow war with Israel, Iran performed many people who accused them of having links with the Israeli Intelligence Service Mossad and of facilitating its operations on the country.
“The main objective of Mossad, in attracting the defendant's cooperation, was to obtain the database of the government institutions and to create a breach in the Iranian databases; together with this main purpose, the service was pursuing other secondary objectives, including investigating the import of electronic equipment,” the Mizan agency said.
The Supreme Court of Tehran rejected the appeal of the defendant and confirmed the sentence to death for the accusation of “corruption on earth”, the source said.
Long-term tensions between Iran and Israel erupted in an open war in June, when Israel attacked various targets inside Iran, including operations that involved Mossad command in the depth of Iranian territory.
The executions of Iranian citizens convicted for espionage in favor of Israel have increased significantly this year, with at least ten capital sentences in recent months.
