Hołownia Deputy Marshal of the Sejm? There is a recommendation of the Polish National Council 2050

And Vice-President of Poland 2050 Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, after a meeting of the National Council, reported that the Council unanimously recommended the Speaker of the Sejm, the leader of the party Szymon Hołownia to the position of the deputy marshal of the Sejm. She added that on Tuesday the National Council would indicate the candidate for the deputy prime minister.

On Saturday in Warsaw, a meeting of the Polish National Council of 2050 took place. During a press conference after the council meeting – and the vice -chairman of the party Katarzyna Pełczyńska -Nałęcz announced that it was adopted a resolution in which the National Council unanimously recommended a tribute to the position of deputy marshal of the Sejm in accordance with the coalition agreement.

– The entire National Council unanimously recommends, asks, simply asks Marshal Szymon Hołownia to be a deputy marshal – said Pełczyńska -Nałęcz.

She also added that on Tuesday, after consulting the club, the National Council will indicate the candidate for the deputy prime minister. – These are two items that Poland 2050, according to coalition findings, receives when the rotation as the Speaker of the Sejm is rotated and this decision will be taken on Tuesday – she said. She also reported that the group was able to settle the subsidy “without reservations”.

On the other hand Hołownia announced that he was not going to apply for the function of chairman of the group. – I founded this organization, gave her everything I could and what I could, and I will continue to give it to the extent that it would be necessary, but the role of the leader is also to say at some point “I pass the stick in the relay”. I think this moment has come for me and the organization – he explained.

He added that Poland 20250 will always have a “special place” in his heart, as “one of the children”, after foundations he founded earlier and declared that he would continue to be a member. Hołownia emphasized that he “transfers the baton” two years before the parliamentary elections and expressed the hope that his colleagues would select a new leader who “in a responsible, efficient way would lead Poland 2050 to victory in 2027.”

– I really like to look for people stronger and smarter than myself, not “killing them”, as it is political, so that they do not threaten my position – he said. He added that “he is not irreplaceable” and that “he is not looking for a deputy but a successor.” He also reported that the program team composed of members of the party's board and the National Council completed the work and established priorities for the group.

Polish leader 2050 asked by journalists if he became the deputy prime minister in the government, he assured that although he talked about it with the prime minister, there are no such plans. “It's not my way,” he said. He also reported that at the moment he “has no idea” whether he would start in the parliamentary elections in 2027. He emphasized that he would probably make the decision about a possible start in 2026.

When asked if the party already has candidates who could take the position of deputy prime minister in the government, he assured that “candidates are in the game.” According to him, the chance should be given to Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, while this decision will be made by the party.

According to the coalition agreement, Szymon Hołownia will be the Speaker of the Sejm until November 13, 2025. Later, he is to be replaced by a co -chairman of the new left, the current deputy marshal Włodzimierz Czarzasty. (PAP)
