Almost 40% of Moldovans voted in today's crucial parliamentary elections. There are 5 hours until the closing of the ballot boxes / How to mobilize the diaspora, for which Maia Sandu had a special message

The number of those who voted until 4:00 pm exceeds the number of Moldovans who had voted until the same time in the past parliamentary elections, from 2021, but is lower than the presence at the vote registered in the presidential elections, the second round, from 2024. The difference in this case is over 133,000 votes.

Until 16:00, 1,148,686 citizens (38.9%) voted at today's parliamentary elections. Of these, 170,448 voted in the diaspora, according to the centralized data by the authorities of the Republic of Moldova.

At the past parliamentary elections, from 2021, to the same time they had voted 1,023.995, ie 34.59%, a smaller number than today.

When it comes to the latest elections in the Republic of Moldova, the second round of the presidential elections of 2024, the number of those who went to the vote today is lower. In 2024, until 4:00 pm they had voted 1,282,396 people, ie 43.04%.

The presence at the vote was lower in the first part of the day, compared to the previous elections. But at 13:00 for the first time the presence at today's vote exceeded the one from the parliamentary elections of 2021.

In the process of voting, the president Maia Sandu sent a message to the Moldovans from the Diaspora, asking him to defend Moldova, by going to vote.
