Ukrainian drones attacked the Afipsky oil refinery in southwestern Russia on Thursday night, Russian authorities said, quoted by Kyiv Independent.
The Krasnodar Krai regional operating center reported that remains of Ukrainian drones fell on one of the refinery units in a larger drone attack on the region.
The refinery, located about 200 kilometers from the front line, serves as a strategic logistics center for diesel and aviation keroser used by Russian troops.
Russian officials said that a fire that spread over an area of 30 square meters was extinguished by the intervention crews, without victims or damage to the infrastructure.

The refinery processes 6.25 million tonnes of oil annually, or 2.1% of the entire Russian oil refining activity.
The refinery was the target of several attacks from the beginning of the Russian invasion. The General Staff of Ukraine's armed forces said on August 7 that an attack on the Afipsky oil refinery damaged a technical unit of refinery.
According to the Financial Times, 16 of the 38 Russian oil refineries have been hit by Ukrainian drones since August. Production interruptions have limited Russia's refining capacity with over 1 million barrels a day, the Energy Appets In FT research group said, reducing exports below the war levels.
