Disturbed traffic on A2: A TIR loaded with plastic granules caught fire. Circulation affected on both directions
A truck loaded with plastic granules caught fire near Murfatlar on Friday afternoon. The fire broke out at the kilometer 198-199, on the way to Bucharest, and the traffic is affected on both directions. Road traffic on the A2 highway is diverted.

“Today, September 26, at 1:10 pm, we were notified by call 112 regarding the fact that a truck caught fire on the A2 highway, at the kilometer 198-199, near Murfatlar, on the direction of Bucharest. Due to the fire, the traffic is affected on both directions,” the representatives of the County Police Inspectorate (IPJ) Constanţa transmitted.
The police have set up traffic deviations. On the way to Bucharest, the traffic takes place through the Medgidia Road Node, and on the direction to Constanța, the traffic is diverted from kilometer 212.
According to the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU) “Dobrogea”, At the scene, three extinguishing vehicles and a SMURD crew intervened, after the firefighters were alerted that a TIR loaded with plastic granules caught fire on A2, at kilometer 199, on the direction to Bucharest.
