Specialists of Tomsk State University have developed an implant that allows women after removing the cervix to endure and give birth to a child. The technique has already helped 28 children.

The implant of super-elastic nickelide titan wire is installed after surgery. The design is unique in that it is able to stretch with the uterus during pregnancy, without limiting the growth of the fetus.

A metal -thief implant does not prevent medical examinations – an ultrasound and radiography. Similar operations are carried out exclusively in Russia – in the Tomsk Nimets and the Novosibirsk Institute of Oncology. Meshalkina, where 136 successful interventions have already been completed.

The technology continues to develop – scientists are working on the creation of even thinner threads for implants.
