The deputy of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg Pavel Krupnik sent an appeal to the head of the Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina with a proposal to establish special restrictions on banking operations for pensioners.

Materials on the topic

According to the publication Vos loud.ru, the daily limit for transfers for citizens of retirement age is proposed to limit 30 thousand rubles at the mark. Operations for large amounts are proposed only after additional verification through the bank’s branch or call to the credit institution.

The deputy noted that pensioners are especially vulnerable to scammers – Soviet education makes the older generation more susceptible to deception by pseudo -workers of banks and “security services”.

The proposal also contains the idea of introducing a self -embodiment system into large transfers, when the client could independently establish temporary restrictions on operations from certain accounts. This would allow older people to additionally protect their savings.
