Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski asked the world's great powers to collaborate on Wednesday to stop Russia's war against his country, accusing President Vladimir Putin of pursuing conflict beyond the borders of Ukraine, notes Reuters.

In a speech in front of the UN General Assembly, which brings together 193 Member States, Zelenski said the war has triggered “the most destructive race of armaments in history” and announced that Ukraine takes steps to open the export of weapons to the Allies.

“The facts are simple: stopping this war is cheaper than building underground or huge bunkers for critical infrastructure later,” Zelenski said.

He referred to alleged violations of the airspace of Poland and Estonia by drones and Russian fighter jets, presenting them as proof that Vladimir Putin tests new limits in the Ukraine war.

“Now, Russian drones are already flying over Europe, and Russian operations are already expanding in several countries,” he warned. “Putin wants to continue this war by extending it, and no one can feel safe now.”

Zelenski also said that Ukraine has decided to start the export of weapons to the Allies.

“You do not have to start this race from scratch. We are ready to share what has already proved its efficiency,” he said, referring to the defense production.

“We are prepared to make our modern weapons your modern security. We decided to open the export of armament. And there are strong systems, tested in a real war, when each international institution failed,” he added.
