China is in full alert, after the Ragasa typhoon that caused dead in Taiwan and Philippines, arrived in its southern region on Wednesday, with strong winds and torrential rains, forcing Chinese authorities to close the schools and headquarters of companies in at least 10 cities, according to The Guardian.

The Ragasa typhoon arrived on Wednesday in the city of Yangjiang in the south of the Guangdong province, after first hit the Hong Kong with strong winds and torrential rains, China's National Meteorological Center on Wednesday reported.

China's national meteorological center said that, when the super-Tymophile Ragasa reached the land, the maximum wind speed near the storm center was 145 km per hour.

In Yangjiang, the France-Prese Agency (AFP) noticed violent winds that snatched the indicators on the buildings, broke trees and destroyed fences.

Before the storm hit, almost 1.9 million people were evacuated to the Guangdong province, the economic engine of the southern region of China, and the schools, factories and transport services were suspended in approximately twelve cities.

The China's maritime authority issued the highest warning – “red” for the first year, forecasting increases in sea level up to 2.8 meters in Guangdong.

The typhoon that formed last week over the West Pacific, has already ravaged Taiwan and Philippines. In Hualien County in the eastern Taiwan, 17 people are still missing data after a dam lake came out of the stall and flooded a city, firefighters announced on Wednesday.

The typhoon has flooded the island for months, and the residents of the Guangfu tourist city claimed that the authorities have not transmitted sufficient warnings, although the evacuations are normally fast, given the frequency of typhoon in Taiwan.

While the rains flooded the Taiwan, the Hong Kong faced huge waves that were devoid of the coastal areas of the east and south of the Asian Financial Center. The water spilled on the sidewalks and flooded some roads and residential properties.

On Monday, Ragasa hit the island of Panuitan, in the province of Cagayan in the northern Philippines. The storm already shot down trees, snatched the roofs of buildings and caused seven deaths. According to an announcement made on Wednesday by the local authorities, 13 people are injured and three more missing data.
