Dacia Duster Pick-up can be ordered in Romania at a starting price of 25,983 euros, excluding VAT, and the new model is an adapted version for mixed use, for both people and for freight, derived from Duster, made in collaboration with Romtouringia and with a charging capacity of up to 430 kg.

The Americans at Carscoop.com analyzed the launch of the new model and charged the producers, considering that the distinctive element, the pick-up part, is missing.

“Pick-up vehicles have long been the favorite choice of those who need space for goods, but do not want to give up the rear seat. In most cases, this means a large enough to transport bulky objects. The new Dacia Duster pick-up, however, seems to have ignored this rule.

This new creation is the result of a partnership with Romtingia, a Romanian company famous for the pick-up conversions of previous Duster generations. The previous projects used a configuration with a simple cab and a suitable strip, but this time the formula changes. The new Duster Pick-up keeps a double booth configuration, which leaves the loading area quite small.

The most visible change is the redesigned back. The exposed freight area is lined with plastic ornaments on the floor and on the sides, being complemented by a personalized shutter that opens down. A new partition wall with a flat spit separates the passengers from anything.

The official figures indicate a maximum load length of 1,050 mm, a width of 1,000 mm and a useful load of 430 kg. To secure the load, the ben is equipped with two metal rails and four anchoring rings to bind the different types of goods. Inside, there are four places in total, and the rear passengers benefit from a central armrest.

The limited extent of the changes means that the vehicle retains the same imprint as the standard Duster model, measuring 4,345 mm in length, 1,813 mm width and 1,656 mm in height, with a ground guard up to 224 mm.

Duster pick-up falls into the category of light commercial vehicles N1. Buyers can choose between Expression, Extreme and Journey equipment levels, which take the same features as the SUV. The propulsion is provided by two electrified options: Mild-Hybrid 130 with full traction or hybrid 140 with front-wheel drive, ”the Americans wrote, regarding the new model.

Approved N1, as the vehicle intended for the transport of goods, the Duster pick-up benefits from all the safety elements in the standard model, including, depending on the equipment,: front and side airbags for driver and passenger, with electronic distributor of the braking force, ESP and anti-Patina Emergency, system of assistance when lowering the slope, recognition of circulation signs with speed exceeding alert, assistance for keeping the tape, warning for the dead angle, multi-view camera, etc.
