The report on the functioning of public media in 2015-2023 will be sent to the National Prosecutor's Office to assess whether there are grounds for initiating possible criminal proceedings-reported on Monday patron Sylwia Gregorczyk-Arab.

On Monday, a conference was held on the report of the Commission for explaining the mechanisms of repression towards the organization of civil society and social activists in 2015-2023 regarding public media.
Gregorczyk-Abram emphasized that the published report describes how public media in 2015-2023 “confused their role.”
– Instead of standing on the side of the citizens, instead of honestly informing society, they simply became an ally of the then government – she noted.
Dr hab. Mikołaj Małecki emphasized that public media are to help citizens, enable reaching real information and implement the constitutional right to information.
He noted that the report contains examples of how the media actions dismissed Poland from what is recorded of the constitution, towards the systems, “which with democracy, with the rule of law have nothing to do.”
He emphasized that public media, such as in the period analyzed by the Commission, “they have no right to exist in a democratic legal state.” (PAP)
