Persons in the past performing managerial functions in one of the company -related companies with PGE and private entrepreneurs will respond to court for corruption and fraud to the detriment of the company. 11 people will sit on the bench. They are punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
The case of 10 years ago was dealt with by the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Łódź, which sent an indictment against 11 people to the District Court in Piotrków Trybunalski. Six of them performed managerial functions in one of the companies associated with PGE, and five people are private entrepreneurs. The evidence includes over a hundred volumes of files – spokesman of the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Łódź said Krzysztof Kopania.
Investigators found that he performing managerial functions in the company, abusing their rights and not fulfilling their duties, in 2015-2016 they accepted property benefits in exchange for the award of non-public orders. They were to relate to the supply of goods to it contrary to the principles of fair competition, equal treatment of contractors and choosing the best offer.
– The evidence gathered in this respect provided the grounds for accusing people associated with the company to receive, and implementing entrepreneurs' deliveries of giving benefits in the amount of several to several dozen thousand zlotys – emphasized prosecutor Kopania.
The accused were also to fraud to the detriment of the company by settling from its property on the basis of documents confirming the untruth of services that were not actually provided.
– The indictment also applies to the detriment of PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA with headquarters in Warsaw for a fraud of nearly PLN 2 million by misleading this entity as to the subject of the purchase, exactly the type of drill, for which financing was granted as part of the ownership loan – added the spokesman.
The accused are punishable by up to 10 years in prison. (PAP)
