Sanctions for Russia. The European Commission wants a ban on the import of Russian gas


The head of EU diplomacy Kaja Kallas in the post X clarified that the withdrawal of Russian liquefied natural gas is to take place by January 1, 2027.

As von der Leyen informed, as part of the 19th EC package she proposed sanctions on 118 additional ships from the Russian so -called shadow fleets. A total of over 560 units are to be covered by the EU sanctions.

– Main (Russian – PAP) companies trading in energy, Rosneft and Gazprom Nieft, will be covered by a total ban on transactions. Other companies will also be freezed. Now we are chasing those who fuel the war of Russia, buying oil in violation of sanctions. Our goal is refineries, oil trading companies, petrochemical companies in third countries, including China, '' announced von der Leyen.
