This applies to, among others situations in which the store refuses to accept the packaging covered by the deposit or gives a voucher instead of cash for the return. “The customer has the right to ask for cash,” said Sowińska.
How to recognize the packaging covered by the deposit?
The key element of the system is the designation of packaging covered by the deposit. Consumers should pay attention to a square -shaped sign with two arrows, inside which there is the inscription “deposit” and its value in PLN. The deputy minister reminded that such packaging should be returned in a state unrelated to the collection points.
