Three men were detained by the authorities, after stole several metal pillars from a site in Sector 1, causing a damage of 75,000 lei.

“Yesterday, September 17, 2025, the police officers of the General Police Directorate of the Municipality of Bucharest-Police Section have detained three men, between 35 and 61 years old, to which investigations are carried out in a criminal case regarding the crime of qualified theft”the authorities sent in a statement.
According to the quoted source, on September 16, 2025, around 8.30 pm, police officers from the 5 Police Section were notified, by call 112, about the fact that, inside a site in Sector 1, several persons would evade goods.
The police officers went urgently on the spot, at which point two people inside the site tried to run away. Shortly after, a 45-year-old man was detected, and later the second man, 35 years old, was detected.
Also, a car was identified inside the site, inside which there were several metal pillars.
The two suspects, together with a third man, aged 61 – the guardian of the site – were led to the subunit headquarters, to establish the factual situation and to take legal measures.
“Based on the evidence administered, it was held that, on the mentioned date, the 35 and 45-year-old men would have traveled to the site with a car, from where about 100 metal pillars, worth 75,000 lei, which they would have loaded in the vehicle.”is shown in the statement. Subsequently, the damage of 75,000 lei was completely recovered.
The two individuals would have benefited from the support of the 61-year-old man, who, as a guard, would have allowed them access, would have disabled the video surveillance system and would have provided them with the car used.
The vehicle was unavailable, in order to continue the research.
Following the administration of the probation, the three were detained for 24 hours. Subsequently, the measure of judicial control, for 60 days, was ordered compared to them.
The investigations are continued by the Police Section 5, under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the District 1 Court, in the aspect of committing the crime of qualified theft.
