The emergency ordinance so that the photographs and footage made on the land by the National Environmental Guard can be used as evidence in court was adopted on Thursday in the Government, announced the Minister of the Environment Diana Buzoianu.
“The criminals who poison our air, water, soil no longer have to escape among the fingers of the authorities! Today the emergency ordinance has been adopted that will make it possible to use as evidence in court all the filming and images captured by the representatives of the Environmental Guard,” announced Diana Buzoianu, quoted by News.ro.
“Romanians already lose years of life because of some enriching tricks, poisoning us all. We change this!”, Said Buzoianu.
What the measure stipulates
According to a statement of the Ministry of Environment, this normative act regulates the use of equipment and equipment purchased by the National Environmental Guard in the project “Monitoring and control equipment for the National Environment” Guard “, financed by the National Plan for Resilization and Resility, with implementation term December 31, 2025, by carrying out minimum 400 controls with new controls.
In this sense, the actions of the Commissioners and the staff of the National Environmental Guard in public spaces, as well as in private spaces where activities with possible impact on the environment and/or if there are suspicions regarding the commission of acts and facts that can lead to the environmental deterioration, can be registered and fixed with the photographic means, without the persons.

“The endowment of the County Commissariat of the National Environmental Guard with digital equipment for the monitoring and control activities of the waste management is provided within the 56th of the PNRR. Increased visibility in the real route of waste transport and, implicitly, the reduction of the quantities of waste transported illegally ”, says the Ministry of the Environment.
Within the project, they were purchased: 1 integrated ICT system, 8 truck scanning systems, 271 video cameras, 16 unmanned aircraft, 8 utility vehicles equipped with radio communications for the transport of monitoring equipment, 709 video cameras worn on the body.
