Who is the judge spun for four months in the Georgescu file, who refused to be the Minister of Justice: “He was raised by some heavy people”

Judge Adriana Stoicescu from the Timișoara Court of Appeal is the magistrate investigated to favor the offender in the case of Călin Georgescu, the indictment is shown. It was monitored for four months, including in the court office. At the end of the investigation, the prosecutors ordered the classification, motivating that the judge had limited him to listen to Călin Georgescu. Adriana Stoicescu acknowledged at the hearings that in 2019 she had a meeting with Călin Georgescu, but declined the invitation to enter politics. On Tuesday afternoon, the magistrate reacted on Facebook: “We live in a world of snakes who, to be liking the masters, sell their last haze of dignity.”

  • Lucian Catrinoiu, Călin Georgescu's lawyer, criticized the indictment prepared by prosecutors. The defender has cataloged the document as “a draft of the indictment, which will be abolished by justice, because, not to forget, justice is carried out by the High Court of Cassation and Justice, as well as by the other courts”.

The General Prosecutor's Office requested the technical supervision of Judge Adriana Stoicescu in the Georgescu file, the request being approved by the High Court of Cassation and Justice. Supervisory mandates, implemented from January 15, have been extended successively until the beginning of May. The magistrate was supervised audio-video including in the office of the Timișoara Court of Appeal, where he operates, according to the Prosecutor General's Prosecutor's Office.

The monitoring of Judge Stoicescu ceased on May 3, but the case prosecutor ordered the postponement of its information about the supervision until the end of the criminal prosecution.

On August 29, the Prosecutor's Office requested and obtained from the High Court a special mandate of supervision of Judge Stoicescu. For 48 hours the investigators had access to its laptop, respectively two memory sticks. The prosecutors were following the connection between magistrate Adriana Stoicescu and Călin Georgescu.

Acknowledged the meeting with Georgescu

Heard as a witness, Adriana Stoicescu said that in 2019 she was contacted by Călin Georgescu who insisted on having a meeting, which happened.

Georgescu proposed to Judge Stoicescu to enter politics and to hold the position of Minister of Justice, but she refused. Later, during the same year, the two had a meeting, but Adriana Stoicescu refused the proposal to enter politics again.

“The witness also claimed that he does not know what judicial problems Georgescu Călin has and did not ask for anyone to intervene in any way in solving them and does not know the police officer Ion Negoescu,” the prosecutors in the referral document.

“The witness also stated that, on February 14, 2025, he met with Judge Stoicescu Adriana, at a cafe for a friendly discussion, and among the topics addressed were Georgescu Călin's candidacy and the annulment of the presidential elections. During this discussion, witness was communicated that, a few years ago, Georgescu Adriana refused her.

On August 29, the prosecutors carried out a search at the home of the journalist Petrovici Georgeta Cătălina, from where they raised a laptop and two memory sticks. On one of these, the registration of the discussion between judges and journalist was identified.

“The identified computer data represents a discussion held by the witness Stoicescu Adriana with the witness Petrovici Georgeta, revealing in the aspect of an interaction between the judge magistrate and the defendant Georgescu Călin, from which it was to have a fundamental role in the institutional agreement imagined by the candidate at the presidential elections, after the presidential elections. The economy of the conversation, consistent with those reported by the witness Stoicescu Adriana, certifies that in 2019, a physical, personal meeting between it and the defendant Georgescu Călin took place, which lasted about 5 hours ”, mentioned in the indictment.

At the meeting between Adriana Stoicescu and Călin Georgescu, his wife, Cristela, also tried to convince her to accept the position of Minister of Justice in a government that will be formed after he wins the presidential elections.

“What is extremely relevant to extract from this conversation is that including the witness Stoicescu Adriana had the representation that the plan developed by the defendant was a very laborious, scrupulous and executed one, with precise stages, an adequate temporal development, sustained and specialized support, so that his success was viable (… So, he was raised by some heavy people … And his thing was prepared for a long time, this is my belief … “), notes the prosecutors in the notification document.

At the end of the investigations, the prosecutors ordered the classification solution regarding Adrian Sotoicescu, emphasizing that “he did not act at any time in an unrequited way and circumscribed to the sphere of criminal illicit”, and “the manifestations of conduct externalized by the judge are not confined to the objective typicality of the crime”

A few hours after the announcement of the General Prosecutor's Office, regarding the prosecution of Călin Georgescu and the other 21 defendants, Judge Adriana Stoicescu reacted in a Facebook post, in which he alludes to betrayal.

“Snake people are sensational. They surround you carefully and overwhelm you. They are careful, they are empathetic, they are always present. Generous in warm gestures and full of concern for your good, they hug and embrace. They are warm and serene. You drink a coffee, quiet and serene, believing that you are with a friend.

Calin Georgescu was sent to court on Tuesday, together with Horațiu Potra and 20 other members of the latter group, being accused of complicity in inciting the constitutional order.
