New humanitarian support mission for the civilian population in Gaza. More people, severely affected by the lack of access to adequate medical treatment
An aircraft of the Romanian Air Force will land on Wednesday evening at the base of 90 Otopeni air transport with 10 Palestinian patients in the Gaza Strip, severely affected by the lack of access to adequate medical treatment, along with 28 family members.

According to the Department for Emergency Situations (DSU), some of the patients are going to receive specialized care in hospitals in Romania, while others will be transferred to Belgium, with an aircraft provided by the Kingdom of Norway.
The mission is coordinated by DSU in close collaboration with several national institutions and international bodies, essential to ensure an efficient and safe development.
At the end of August, DSU had announced that the European project “Mevac” was successfully completed and strengthens the ability of Romania for aero-medical evacuation by acquiring a specialized medical module, compatible with MApN aircraft.
The new module allows the simultaneous transport of up to four critical patients.
