mBank wants to regularly pay a dividend from net profit for 2026 – the bank said in the strategy for 2026-2030. The goal is a gradually growing dividend rate from 30 percent. MBank, on the occasion of the publication of a new strategy, updated the mBank group capital management strategy. It was approved by the bank's supervisory board.
The document assumes no dividend payment from the profit obtained by mBank in 2025. In the following years, the goal of mBank is to allocate capital for profitable credit activity, while its surplus will be paid to shareholders in the form of dividends.
The current dividend policy of mBank assumed a dividend payment ratio of 50 percent.
“Currently, the bank's goal is to regularly pay dividends, from 30 % of net profit generated in 2026. The bank strives to gradually increase the dividend withdrawal index, determining as a strategic goal to achieve the level of 75 percent of the net profit with a net profit generated in 2030” – wrote.
“The adopted dividend policy will allow for effective use of capital, ensuring an optimal balance between profitable business development, safe and stable capital surpluses above regulatory levels and a satisfactory level of profitability,” added.
The final level of dividend payment will depend on further changes in the regulatory and operational environment of the bank and the decision of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority.
The mBank group strategy for 2026–2030 assumes that the bank will be in TOP-3 Polish banks and is based on three pillars: the life cycle-based growth (Lifecycle-Based Growth), excellence in customer service (Customer Excellence) and organizational excellence (Organizational Excellence).

mBank assumes the following strategic financial goals and business ambitions: dynamic increase in volumes and confirmation of a strong competitive position with a purpose assuming market shares in key products equal to or above 10 percent. in 2030.
“We assume the achievement of over 10 percent of the market shares in the loans and deposits of retail and corporate clients. This goal is the reference point for planned business activities. We have solid foundations to implement this ambition. The maintaining favorable demographic profile of our customer base and the resulting high potential of internal demand on the one hand, and the strengthened capital base on the other, make us prepared for effective and sustainable growth ” – it was written in a statement.
mBank wants to have a refund from material capital (Rote) above 22 percent. in the years 2026-2030.
The cost/income indicator is to be equal to or below 35 percent.
MBank assumes active risk management and a resistant credit portfolio. The goal is risk costs of about 0.8 percent. in the period 2026-2030.
mBank also wants to have a strong capital position and space for further expansion. The goal is the Tier 1 basic capital factor at least 2.5 pp above the regulatory requirement throughout the strategic horizon.
In the area of retail banking, mBank assumes the development of long -term products offer (including digital mortgage, intelligent savings solutions, regular investment solutions), strengthening customer loyalty by personalizing and using their family and social networks as a source of acquisition, support for key segments: – wealthy and company clients, which we offer new financial products, including Leasing, and in the measure of developing their needs – access to corporate banking services and extended financing possibilities.
The strategy in the area of corporate banking in mBank assumes concentration on financing and supporting strategic directions of economy development, such as energy and technological transformation, digitization and automation of processes, economic resistance and production location, green sustainable economy, closed and sharing economy, health and free time economy.
mBank plans to implement easily available financing opportunities and further development of the investment banking offer and support for foreign expansion of mBank clients in cooperation with Commerzbank.
The activities of mBank in the Czech Republic and Slovakia are to accelerate thanks to the platform approach, which through the development of technology and integration with the strategic relational model from Poland, will enable scalable innovation and a dynamic increase in the number of active clients.
