Polish products from Lidl usually go there


In 2024, over 340 Polish suppliers exported their products on 28 foreign markets where Lidl is present. The value of such exports amounted to nearly PLN 6.9 billion.
What major markets go through the Lidl Polish products network? The company explains that markets such as Romania, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Hungary. This means that products from Poland are less likely to go to Germany than these countries. And this is Lidl's homeland, but also a key market for this network. The company has over 3.2 thousand points.
And what most often goes from Polish suppliers to Lidl's foreign stores? “Polish meat and sausages, dairy products, frozen foods, cookies and salty snacks and bread were the greatest recognition – representatives of the network explain in an interview with Business Insdier Polska.
Over the past seven years (2018-2024), the export of Polish products has reached over PLN 32 billion through the international Lidl network. The value of exports has been growing systematically for years – Lidl Polska is still going to promote and support the presence of Polish products on foreign markets – the network says.
“We want to develop cooperation with Polish suppliers even more and support the presence of their products on foreign markets. 2024 was record -breaking in terms of exports,” says Włodzimierz Wlaźlak, president of Lidl Polska.
Lidl billions in Poland
The report of the Deloitte advisory company shows that last year Lidl Polska stores generated over PLN 11.4 billion of added value (PLN 1.3 billion more than in 2023), of which PLN 6 billion was established in the company itself, and PLN 5.4 billion at Lidl Polska suppliers and thanks to salaries paid to employees and employees.
