On Tuesday, Polish President Karol Nawrocki begins an inaugural visit to Berlin, where he will meet with President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Chancellor Friedrich Mura. On the eve of the visit, the German daily “Sueddeutsche Zeitung” assessed that Nawrocki arrives as “a messenger with an old account” with EUR 1.3 trillion – that is, the amount for which PiS estimated war reparations due to Poland from Germany.
