US President Donald Trump together with the first lady will take part in a lavish banquet with the participation of King Charles III at the Windsor castle during his stay in Great Britain, scheduled for 17 and 18 September – said Buckingham Palace. There is also plans to meet Trump with the British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

Trump and his wife will be greeted by melania on Wednesday (September 17) at the Windsor castle, Prince William together with Princess Kate, who will go to a meeting with King Karol and Queen Kamila together. All three couples will take part in the Royal Carriage Parade. The ceremony will be attended by representatives of the Armed Forces and three military orchestras.
As the British media noted, unlike the President of France Emmanuel Macron, Trump will not be able to take advantage of the carriage ride through the city or go to London to pay tribute to the grave of an unknown soldier in the Westminster abbey.
After lunch, a visit to the Royal collection, located in the castle, is planned. In the afternoon, Trump will go to the chapel of St. Jerzy to assemble the wreath on the grave of Queen Elizabeth II.
According to the published schedule, in the evening in the Hall of St. Jerzy will be a lavish state banquet in honor of Trump, during which the king and president of the US will give speeches.
On Thursday (September 18) in the morning the American leader and the first lady will officially say goodbye to the king and the queen at the Windsor castle, after which Trump will go to Chequers, the official rural residence of the British prime minister in Buckinghamshire. There he will meet with Starmer and his wife. The greeting is to be accompanied by the Honorary Company of the Royal Air Force (RAF) and a group of Scottish duds. The leaders plan to visit the archive of Prime Minister Winston Churchill, a double -sided meeting and a press conference.
At the same time, Melania Trump, in the company of the Queen, visits the Puppet House of Queen Maria and the Royal Library, and then joins Princess Kate in Frogmore to meet a group of scouts there.
The presented plans show that the US President will not visit the British parliament. At this time, the House of Commons will have a break due to party conferences, but the Chamber of Lords will continue to meet.
On the first day of the US President's visit, a demonstration is planned in London under the slogan “Trump is not welcome here”. Activists from the “Stop Trump” group appealed to the British government to cancel the American leader's journey, accusing him of “negating the results of scientific research on climate” and “favoring war criminals from Israel, Russia and other countries.”
Trump's journey is considered unusual, because the US presidents, celebrating the second term, usually do not take part in state visits at the invitation of the monarch. Instead, they participate in a meeting at tea or lunch with the ruler, as happened, among others in the case of George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
A visit to Great Britain will take place two months after Trump's private visit to Scotland, during which the American president met with Starmer, head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and the first Scotland minister John Swinney.
During the state visit in 2019, Trump met with Queen Elizabeth II and drank tea at King Charles, then Prince of Wales. The US President gave a speech during a lavish state banquet in a ballroom in the official residence of the British monarchy.
