International security expert prof. Katarzyna Pisarska gave an interview to the Wyborcza.pl portal, in which she pointed to the need to confiscate frozen Russian assets. In a few moments her account on X became the target of the coordinated bot action.

Prof. Pisarska, international security expert, chairwoman of the Council of the Foundation Kazimierz Pułaski, in an interview published this week on the portal, explained why the abandonment of a confiscation of EUR 200 billion of frozen Russian assets is the same as the fact that the Kremlin would use them against Europe.
Pisarska posted on the platform X an entry in which she linked the interview. Within a few minutes, more than a hundred full of profanity of comments appeared under it. Many of them, although sent from different accounts, were one -handed.
The political scientist removed most of them, leaving only one, as an example and warning. “Over a hundred comments appeared in a few moments. When I began to block them, in their place there were more, with the same content, but sent from other accounts. Then I realized that this was an organized action” – said Pisarska in an interview with PAP and added that she reported the case to Administrators X. In the case of five accounts, inconsistency with community policy was confirmed.
The account, from which the commentary under the Pisarska entry comes, was founded in March 2022, i.e. immediately after the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. It is practically inactive. It has six followers and – in addition to two shares – there is no activity on it. As the expert said, Russia has tens of thousands of such kkkaze profiles. They have a one -off application, because after placing a specific entry or commentary, they will probably be deleted anyway.
As the interlocutor of PAP pointed out, disinformation has always been an important tool for Russia and in our infoster has been present for a very long time. However, in 2022, an accounts were created, which are massively used in situations treated by the Kremlin as a threat or when the possibility of causing polarization appears. For example, there was a period when such massive actions were carried out in the case of an account of MP Paweł Kowal when he became the government's representative for the reconstruction of Ukraine.
“The scale of the action was surprising. These were thousands of bots attacking his account. There was a narrative that referred to the Volhynia crime, Banderites and Nazism, also served in a very vulgar form,” said Pisarska.
The purpose of such activities is to be not so much to change the narrative, but to discourage – in this case Polish Internet users – to observe and participate in a given debate. “It's psychology: +Even if I agree with a given entry, why should I like it or observe it, since it was criticized by a hundred people? +. This is a way to eliminate people from public debate people who conduct business or represent a position inconsistent with the Kremlin's interests” – explained the interlocutor of PAP.
In her opinion, it is no accident that this coordinated attack has taken place now. As she emphasized, the better Russia is, even in relations with the Americans, she has the greater need to neutralize the activities of countries that could prevent her in this relaxation. And Poland remains a dangerous country for Russia. He still supports Ukraine in various ways, including financially. And if European countries continue military support, then the transfer of armament to Ukraine is impossible without Poland.
As Pisarska added, Russia cannot invest in Poland, it cannot buy politicians, and if so, only those of marginal importance. Thus, disinformation and intimidation, such as arson, cybernetic attacks on state institutions, or using migrants trying to break from Belarus as a tool of migrants, is now the only form in which Russia can try to realistically influence the situation in Poland.
