The role of politicians is to stop the wave of pro -Russian moods, not swimming on it. This is a test for patriotism and maturity of the entire Polish political class – this is how Prime Minister Donald Tusk commented on the growing dislike of the fighting Ukraine, which, he claims, is created “by the Kremlin based on authentic fears and emotions.”


At night from Tuesday to Wednesday, during Russia's attack on Ukraine, the Polish airspace was violated by drones. According to the information confirmed by the head of the Ministry of National Defense, there were 21 violations, and drones constituting a direct threat were shot down.
“A wave of pro -Russian moods and reluctance to fight Ukraine, created by the Kremlin based on authentic fears and emotions, is growing,” said Donald Tusk on Platform X. As he noted, the role of politicians is to stop this wave, not swim on it.
“This is a test for patriotism and maturity of the entire Polish political class,” he added.
Earlier, the prime minister assured that Polish services and the army had sufficient information about who is responsible for the drone attack on Poland. – We will not be sensitive to manipulation and disinformation from Russia. Poland is sure about the sources, the starting point and intentionality of this action – he said on Friday.
The head of government appealed to Poles for caution and guided in his assessments and comments only with information or confirmed by Polish institutions – above all the army, other services and public media. (PAP)
