“Eastern Sentry” operation. Is the signature of President Karol Nawrocki

The National Security Bureau has announced that the “Eastern Sentry” operation has been planned to improve the safety of the NATO eastern flank. These activities are aimed at increasing the region's defense capabilities and strengthen cooperation between the parties to the North Atlantic Pact.
“NATO launches the Eastern guard to strengthen our eastern flank,” NATO Mark Rutte, Secretary General, said on Friday. It will be a new, more integrated approach to defend this part of the alliance territory. As part of the mission, among others Danish F-16, French Rafale and German Eurofightery.

NATO's decision is the result of what happened this week in Poland, i.e. invading the Polish airspace of Russian drones. The decision also takes place after the meeting of the North Atlantic Council, during which on September 10 allies discussed the situation in the light of Poland's application for consultation pursuant to Article 4 of the Washington Treaty.
As Rutte assessed during the Friday press conference, what happened on Wednesday was not an isolated incident.
– Russia's reckless actions in the air along our eastern flank are more frequent. We saw drones violating our airspace in Romania, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Regardless of whether it was intentional or not, it is dangerous and unacceptable – he said.
