The grave of the royal family in Yekaterinburg may be built over. This was stated by the Romanov Memorial Foundation.
The remains of the emperor and his relatives were transported to the Porosyonkov Log tract two days after being dumped into a mine on Ganina Yama. In the fall of 2024, almost all monuments in this place were removed from the list of specially protected ones. The head of the Romanov Memorial, Ilya Korovin, is trying to challenge the decision in court. The man told us that the Russian Orthodox Church wants to take this land.
In 2021, despite the status of a specially protected area, construction equipment has already entered the territory and drilled 11 wells. A little later, someone set fire to the forest – the fire spread over a hundred square meters. Then the police refused to open cases.
