According to the president, Russians also have significant losses in the Kharkov region.
“In Kupyansk, and in the Donetsk region. We continue to act in the Dobropol direction. It is important that Russian assaults are reflected […] We act in accordance with the situation in the Zaporizhzhya region, ”Zelensky informed.

On September 12, Zelensky stated that the Russian offensive operation on the Sumy was completely disrupted. According to him, the battles in the border of the Sumy region continue, but the Russian group in the Sumy direction “lost the offensive opportunities as a result of the losses incurred.”
In September, analysts of the American Institute for Study of War (ISW) wrote that Russia reduces the priority of its offensive operations in the Sumy region, preferring attempts to capture Pokrovsk, advanced in the Dobropole and bypass the belt of the fortifications of the Donetsk region from the West.
On September 7, Syrfa stated that in the Pokrovsky direction the Russians concentrated the main efforts and created the largest offensive group trying to break through the defense of Ukraine. According to Zelensky, the Russian Federation accumulated a group of up to 100 thousand military in the Pokrovsky direction.
On September 14, the Ukrainian military said that the Russians are trying to accumulate forces in the northern environs of Kupyansk. Two days earlier, the Deepstate service, which collaborates with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, said that Russian invaders were able to overcome the Oskol river through the gas pipe and get into Kupyansk on land. The General Staff said that the Russians could not get to Kupyansk through the pipeline. The exit from the pipeline, which the enemy used to move personnel to Kupyansk, is under the fire control of Ukrainian defenders, and the pipeline itself does not lead to the city, they indicated in the 10th Army Corps of the WSS.
