Lighthouse, dramatic failure in Europe Cup. When the qualification is decided

The Lighthouse lost the first match in Europe Cup, in front of Koge, score 2-3. The team from Constanța will play the second round of round 1 next week, on September 17, on their own ground.

After being eliminated from the Champions League preliminaries in women's football, the Romanian champion arrived in Europe Cup, the equivalent Europa League in men's football.

The players led by Raluca Sârghe traveled to Denmark for the match in the first leg with Koge and lost dramatically, in extensions.

Lighthouse lost the first sleeve of 1 Europe Cup round

The lighthouse was driven from the 1st minute. Gejl opened the scoring for Koge. The lighthouse equalized from the penalty, through Botojel, in the 11th minute.

In the 57th minute, Pelkowski made 2-1 for the team in Denmark. The lighthouse equalized again, through the goal scored by Pînzariu. In the extensions, Luplau scored the victory goal for Koge, in the 90+1 minute.

It ended 3-2 for the Danish, and the Lighthouse lost the first leg. He will seek to qualify next week, in Ovidiu, on September 17th.

Europe Cup is new competition established by UEFA. This is the first edition in history. If it does not pass by Koge, the Lighthouse will be permanently eliminated from Europe. There is still no safety net, as it happened after eliminating from the Champions League.

In Europe Cup there are no groups, but only eliminatory phases: tour 1, tour 2, optimal, quarters, semifinals, final. All phases, including the final, have a double leg.
