US President Donald Trump is still planning to have a conversation with the President of the Republic of Poland Karol Nawrocki – a representative of the White House told PAP on Wednesday.

“President Trump and the White House follow reports from Poland. President Trump plans to talk to President Nawrocki today,” said the clerk.
This is the first commentary of the White House about the invasion of Russian drones into the Polish airspace. President Trump himself has not yet referred to the matter. Earlier, the US ambassador to NATO, Matthew Whitaker, assured about Solidarity with Poland and readiness to defend it.
“We are with our allies from NATO in the face of these violations of the airspace and We will defend every whole NATO territory” – said Whitaker on the portal X. It was the first official reaction of the Washington representative on this subject.
The case was commented on by members of the American Congress. The Republican, co -chairman of the Helsinki Commission Joe Wilson pointed out that the incident occurred less than a week after the visit of the Polish president. He also called the Kremlin's actions “by the act of war” and called on President Trump to sanctages, leading to the “bankruptcy of the Russian war machine”. Democrats Senator Dick Durbin expressed the view that Russian violations cannot be ignored.
So far, there is no information that American forces in Poland take part in the response to the invasion of Russian drones. According to the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski, Polish, Dutch, Italian and German forces participated in the surgery to shoot down unmanneders. The Pentagon has not yet answered PAP's question about this topic.
