The American computer group Microsoft will introduce the obligation to work from the office for at least three days a week, the company announced on Tuesday, in a blog post, according to Reuters.

This policy will be introduced in three phases, starting with the employees living near the company's central headquarters at Redmondon, Washington, followed by employees from other US locations and international employees, wrote Microsoft personnel director, Amy Coleman, on the blog.

Companies have made the switch to work from home after the pandemic against the background of concerns about safety. However, some companies in the technology sector, including Amazon, have started to return to those policies and now force employees to return to the office, notes Agerpres.

Initially, the new policy will apply to employees living up to 80 kilometers from Microsoft's headquarters and who can expect to work from the office three days a week since the end of February 2026, the post on the company's blog is shown.

Microsoft has added that data and details on other US office locations will be announced soon, while planning for outside US employees will start the next year.
