President Recep Tayyip Erdogan transmitted to Qatar Emir on Tuesday, Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, in a phone call, that Turkey, a NATO member country will support “with all means” after the attack of Israel against the leaders of Hamas, carried out on the territory of the Qatar, announced the presidency in Ankara and Sky News.
The Turkish presidency said, in a statement, that Erdogan and Thani discussed possible common measures after the Israeli bombing in Doha.
“President Erdogan said that he condemns the attack of Israel, which aims to deepen the conflict, tension and instability in the region and constitute a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the friendly and ally Qatar state,” said the press office of the Turkish President.
“Expressing their condolences to those who died in this unfaithful attack, President Erdohan stressed that Turkey supports the state and the people of the Qatar with all the means available,” the Turkish presidency said.
“The two leaders agreed to continue to collaborate for the immediate termination of the massacre in (strip) Gaza,” concluded the same source.
Previously on Tuesday, the Foreign Ministry of Ankara reacted as a result of the Qatar bombing, stating that Israel “does not seek peace, but the continuation of the war.”
“We firmly denounce the attack of Israel, which targeted the delegation of Hamas negotiators in Doha, the capital of the Qatar. The targeting of the Hamas delegation while the cessation negotiations are in progress clearly that Israel does not seek peace, but the continuation of the war,” the Turkish Ministry said.
Turkish officials also said that the attack “is a clear proof of Israel's expansionist policies and adopting terrorism as a state policy.”
In fact, the leaders of several European states and members of the North Atlantic Alliance have condemned the unprecedented attack in Doha, the capital of the Qatar, by the Israeli army, who announced that it was aimed at leading the Palestinian militant group.
