We arrive great launches the living museum of empathy. The stories of children and young people in the protection system come to life through the voices of loved actors

We arrive large, the largest socio-educational program for institutionalized children in Romania, launches the living museum of empathy, a long-term project that aims to create an interactive and emotional space that connects the general public with the reality of children in the protection system, generating concrete involvement and action.
The launch event was held on Monday at Hilton Garden Inc Bucharest and took the young beneficiaries of the program, the volunteers who support them and some of the actors who performed the stories of young people, Florentina Ţilea, Alex Bogdan and Beatrice Rubică.
In Romania, the history of abandonment and institutionalization of children is a collective wound still open. Tens of thousands of children went through orphanages, growing without family, without love, without protection and without emotional support. This past is not only a painful memory, but a reality that continues to model the present.

This year, within the recruitment campaign of volunteers, the Association announces the first intervention under the umbrella of the project “The living museum of empathy”, a series of stories of the children from the protection system told by the actors Florentina Ţilea, Victoria Raileanu, Alex Bogdan, Ofelia Popii, Beatrice Rubică, Vlad Logigan, Cătălina Mihai Florin Aionaions, Georgiana Bighescu, Sorina Ștefănescu, Valentina Moghina, Dan Pughineanu, Alexia Mocănescu, Antonia Scutaru and Denisa Nicolae. The stories will be listened to here: https://www.ajungemmari.ro/muzeul-viu-al-empatiei/
“Over 35,000 children were in the protection system in Romania, at the end of March. Who do they need? What do they need? What wishes do they hide? The living museum of empathy is a living museum because the stories of children and young institutionalized are in progress, but also because they can change with the help of the people who choose to be a time. The lives of the children change once they have people who support them, who help them in themes or learn for exams, who enroll them for classes, take them out of centers on trips and trust them that they can have a better future. ” declares Iarina Taban, the founder we reach big.

The stories of young people – authentic fragments of life, emotions and dreams – become a living experience, meant to bring closer to the realities of these young people and the impact that the involvement of volunteers has in their lives.
“An extremely important thing I learned from Volunteers and from all the people we get big is that if you really want, you can do anything. There is no limit. The limit means where you stop, until you are willing to make an effort. If you want, you can,” Explains Răzvan, a young man from the protection and volunteer system.
Photos that give the faces to the stories unspoken
We arrive Mare will organize three photography exhibitions that invite visitors to look beyond prejudices and discover, through images, which means abandonment, loneliness and fear, but also the power, hope and desire of children and young people institutionalized to be loved and supported. Visitors will have the opportunity to listen to the stories of our children and young people interpreted by the collaborating actors.

The exhibitions will be able to be visited for free at QP Pub (str. Praporgescu David, Gen., 13, Bucharest) between 16-30 September and within the Street Delivery Bucharest Festival, on September 26-28. During the event “Together on a drunk!”, On September 28, at 3:00 pm, at the Creative Laboratory – Bd. Aviatorilor 106, Bucharest, the entrance is based on a donation of 55 lei in support of young people in the protection system.
The photos were taken by Mihai Barbu, photographer and writer, in the activities with young people and institutionalized children.
An invitation to involve
We arrive Mare work directly with children today in the protection system, giving them the chance to process their emotional wounds, to cope with abandonment and to become independent adults. I support them through educational programs, mentoring, counseling and activities meant to develop their skills, self -confidence and to help them build a better future.
“It has no way to hit you when you hear what a child can go through. It is inhuman. When I read the letter I felt a lot, a lot of pain, but also a type of hope because there are still people here. And these people, who do such projects, would pull them to a human xerox, to be more than us. reports Alex Bogdan, actor and director.
Until September 30, the program arrives big looking for 1000 volunteers to become friends for 3500 children and young institutionalized young people and 27 counties. Volunteers will dedicate 3 hours a week during the school year for support for topics, creative workshops or various personal development activities. In addition to the actual activities, for children it is extremely important the presence of volunteers who become friends, understand and listen to them.
