The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) has announced that several counties in the country will be under a yellow code of heat until Saturday evening, at 9 pm.

The meteorological alert enters into force at 12 o'clock and concerns the counties of Bistrița-Năsăud, Maramureș, Satu Mare, Sălaj, Cluj, Bihor, Alba, Arad, Hunedoara and Timișoara.

“On Saturday (September 6), in Maramureș, Crișana, in the north of Banat and northern and western Transylvania, the heat wave will be maintained, so there will be highly high temperatures and thermal discomfort,” ANM said in the issued warning.

According to the institution, at times, the temperature-humidity index will reach the “critical threshold of 80 units”.

“The maximum temperatures will be between 30 and 34 degrees. Depending on the evolution and intensity of the weather phenomena, the National Meteorological Administration will update the present message including by warning for immediate severe phenomena (Nowcasting),” ANM wrote in attention.

“Warm” weather and in the capital

In the special forecast for Bucharest, ANM said that “the weather will be warm” during Saturday.

“The sky will be more clear, and the wind will be weak to moderate. The maximum temperature will be 31 … 33 degrees,” ANM wrote in the forecast for the capital related to Saturday, between 12 and 21 hours.
