Bjorn Borg is a tennis legend. The Swedish born on June 6, 1956 in Sodertalje debuted in the professional circuit in 1973 and impressed very quickly, managing to pass his first Grand Slam title, at Roland Garros.
Later, Borg passed another 10 Grand Slam titles: Five at the French tour (1975, 1976, 1978, 1980, 1981) and five at Wimbledon, all won (1976-1980).
He did not work well at the US Open, where he played four finals at the US Open (1976, 1978, 1981), without ever winning the tournament at Flushing Meadows, and at the Australian Open participated once, in 1974, when he arrived in the third round.
In 1980, the Swedish married Romanian Mariana Simionescu. The love story between Mariana Simionescu and Bjorn Bjorg made their way to the big screens, in the movie “Borg Versus Mcenroe”. The marriage, formalized on July 24, 1980, lasted four years. But Marian Simionescu's love remained a living flame: the decades went out, she restored her life, living in Monte Carlo with the former great pilot of Jean-Louis Schlesser, without ever wearing the wedding dress.
