The restrictions on the sale of alcohol in the Vologda region were introduced from March 1: on weekdays it is sold from 12.00 to 14.00, and the weekend – from 8.00 to 23.00.
The authors of the material, having gone to this Russian region, became witnesses of how exactly from 12.00 to 14.00 in supermarkets long lines of those wishing to acquire alcohol are built in supermarkets. “The Vologda people are already used to it,” they write.
Local residents said that “now nothing, and in March, the queue at the cash register was comparable to the Soviet burst during the shortage.”
To buy alcohol on a weekday, Russians resort to various tricks. For example, they tell the authorities that they go behind cigarettes. Buying alcohol has now become more.
“I used to buy one bottle of wine, but now I take as much as I can take away,” said a resident of Vologda, who works as a teacher. “I do not belong to the category of alcoholics, but I have to buy many bottles at once.”
Her countrywoman Yana claims that some of her friends now drink more than to restrictions.
“You buy for the future, you come home – but it already stands, beckons,” she quotes her friends.
In addition to classical alcohol, the inhabitants of the Vologda region also consume alcohol -containing household liquids, such as cosmetic lotions, which local call “bomics”. Journalists write that the bottles from under them are “scattered around the city.”
The “shore” notes that some stores have issued a license as a bar, a restaurant or cafe-such institutions can still be sold alcohol around the clock, if only “for the removal” at the forbidden time-and thus give the Russians the opportunity to get drunk.
Beer in such “spills” (if you wish, you can manage to take it away), they are sold 30-40 percent more than in the store, and strong alcohol is not sold here after they began to write about it in the media.
Alco-Bota also appeared in Vologda through which you can order alcohol delivery, but expensive. In the catalogs – beer, red and white wine, vodka, cognac, whiskey, gin, rum, vermouth, tinctures, liquors, tequila – about two times more expensive in stores. Delivery will cost 200 rubles. (about 102 UAH) in cash.
Sedwearing is also developing in the region, writes the “coast”.
“Merchants are afraid that the governor will once accept a new law – and will prohibit selling moonshine devices,” the publication says.
The interlocutors of the publication concluded that there is nothing “except populism” in the decision of the authorities to limit the time of the sale of alcohol.
